Mentoring
YOLO Mentoring approaches mentoring with a unique model and program. All mentors are strong, positive male role models who meet consistently with their youth to establish positive patterns that will ultimately guide them into responsible adulthood. This is achieved through YOLO Mentoring’s four main building blocks:
1. Education – Creating successful educational achievements – The mentor will meet with the participant to ensure proper assistance is provided in regards to their success in school and educational activities.
2. Social Skills – Build self-awareness and control – Effective communication and appropriate coping skills are said to be the hardest concepts to master in today’s society. This is why the mentors are devoted to teaching these two vital skills to all of their youths. They will address negative behaviors and promote wiser choices so youth are able to make the better decision when faced with an impulsive or critical decision-making situation.
3. Vocational Training – Develop practical training – YOLO Mentoring has partnered with local employers in the community to teach teenagers valuable career lessons. They will work on specific skills to prepare them for the workplace, build their resume and even have the chance to participate in mock interviews with real employers for true “real world” experience. In some cases, the teenagers who participate in the mock interviews are actually offered employment by the organization.
4. Community Service – Participating in something bigger than oneself – Mentors will provide each youth with opportunities to get involved in the community. Through local partnerships, YOLO Mentoring participates in volunteering sessions that give the youth the opportunity to mingle together, socialize, and give back to the community.

Homemakers and Companion Services
YOLO Mentoring LLC is licensed by the State of Florida, through the Agency for health care Administration for the service of Homemaker and Companion Services.
4 hours + weekly, very flexible
Thoroughly vetted staff workers.
Our services are specific to your loved one’s needs. We assist and guide your loved one with daily duties and activities. We can help with, but not limited to, the following
• Assisting with phone calls and correspondence.
• Providing recreational activities and engaging in friendly conversations.
• Assisting with errands and overseeing activities as directed.
• Offering transportation for medical appointments, recreational outings, and more.
• Meal planning, preparation, and shopping, as well as light housekeeping and laundry
• Light plant care
• Vacuuming and maintaining a clean living space.
• Dusting and keeping surfaces tidy.
• Washing and putting away dishes.

Sibling Visitation
The SIBLING VISITATION service is similar to one on one mentoring, as in, we (YOLO Mentoring) pick up the siblings that are currently not placed together and have them spend time together in the community for 2 hours. We can service up to 4 kids in our car at a single time based on the number of seat belts in a standard car. We do not transport any child that needs a car seat. We have a referral form which the case manager will need to fill out. The mentors will call all the homes of the children, schedule the visits, pick the children up for sibling visitations, and drop them back off at their respective homes. The children can interact with each other on a weekly or bi weekly basis depending on the caregivers schedules. A progress note is reported and sent monthly to the case manager. This way, sibling visitations are happening very frequently with less restrictions than if the children were sitting in an office, visitation center, or confined space together.
